FRANK ANTHONY MEMORIAL ALL-INDIA INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION 2026

Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy hosted the Preliminary Round of the Frank Anthony Memorial All-India Inter-School Debate Competition 2026, Category I (Classes XI and XII) on 24 July 2026.

The topic of the debate was “Countries That Pollute More Should Pay Higher Environmental Penalties.”

  Ten schools from Dehradun and Rishikesh participated in the event under Pool A6.

The participants presented their arguments for and against the motion with confidence and clarity, offering valuable insights into its scope and implications. The debate reflected clarity of thought, persuasive speaking skills, poise and thoughtful expression.

The Principal, Ms. Bharti Vishnoi, emphasised the responsibility of the younger generation towards protecting and preserving the environment. 

The winning team was Khrist Jyoti Academy, Dehradun, while St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun, was judged as the First Runner-up team to enter the second stage of the competition. Navya Bhatt of St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun, was adjudged the Best Speaker.
