02^ndAugust – Inter School Chess Tournament – Mount Litera Zee School

As said by Vladimir Kramnik, “Chess is not only about knowledge and logic, but also about art and sport. It requires a combination of qualities - memory, attention, analytical mind, imagination and willpower”. This is actually validated by the young minds at Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy.

An Inter-School Chess Tournament was organized on August 2nd, 2024, at Mount Litera Zee School. Out of 20 schools with more than 200 participants, 25 students from our school took part. Two students from Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy competed and made our school proud by securing great positions in their respective categories: in the UNDER-09 category, Priyansh Singh of class VA bagged the third position, and in the UNDER-19 category, Avi Kanodiya of class XIIC also secured the third position.

The hard work and talent of our students have made us proud and they serve as an encouragement for others. As we honour the success of the aspiring minds, we are reminded that, the greatest glory in chess is not falling, but rising every time we fall. Chess emphasizes to learn from ones mistakes and encourages us to view losses as opportunities for growth and improvement, and to keep striving for excellence.
