Date 29 Oct 2024

 DIWALI CELEBRATION

On the auspicious festival of Diwali, the primary section of Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy began their day on 29th October 2024 with a special assembly themed on Diwali, presented by the students of Class 5B. The assembly aimed to educate students about the significance of Diwali, its customs, and cultural importance. Students performed a dance depicting Diwali festivities and shared a meaningful message, encouraging everyone to celebrate responsibly and joyfully.

Following the assembly, an Inter-House competition with a Diwali theme was organized for students of Classes 3 to 5. The competition featured different activities for each class: Class 3 students participated in Pot decoration, Class 4 students decorated Pooja thalis, and Class 5 students created Rangolis using flowers and colours. This event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents, as art serves as a powerful medium for expressing thoughts, emotions, and creativity. Students with skills in various handicrafts participated with great enthusiasm.

The competition was judged by Ms. Poonam Sharma and Ms. Neelam Semwal from the senior wing, who evaluated the participants on creativity, presentation, and alignment with the theme. In the pot decoration category, Satpura House emerged as the winner, while there was a tie among the remaining three houses. In both the Pooja thali decoration and Rangoli categories, the judges declared a tie among all four houses.

The event was a wonderful display of talent, creativity, and festive spirit, allowing students to embrace the essence of Diwali through art and expression.
