31^stAugust – Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony 2023-24

Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy, Dehradun, held the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for classes VI to IX and XI at the Multipurpose Hall in school, a prestigious occasion that took place on 31st August, 2024, for the academic year 2023-24. The occasion was graced by Dr. Anuj Singh, the Principal of Prakriti Valley, as the Chief Guest, who was welcomed and felicitated by the Principal Mrs. Bharti Vishnoi with a bouquet. The Head Mistress, Mrs. Chopra and Officer in Administration, Mr. Parashar , were also present to motivate the students.

Dr. Anuj Singh is a distinguished and visionary leader in the field of education. He currently serves as the President of Dehradun Private Schools Association. His dedication to education and social service has been recognised with many prestigious awards.

Parents of prize winners were invited to acknowledge the dedication and success of their wards. The MPH showcased various hues with the function beginning with a Kathak Dance performance to showcase India’s cultural legacy, followed by a soulful flute performance by Keshav Walia. Flute has a special place in our musical heritage, symbolising purity and divinity.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony commenced with the recognition of academic excellence. Students from classes VI to IX and XI, who excelled in their academics and consistently demonstrated remarkable performance, were presented with awards of distinction. Tanvi Pokhriyal of class IXA was awarded with the A.C. Deb Merit - cum - Means Scholarship. Divyansh Khendelwal was awarded The Shikha memorial scholarship. The best Hindi Debater of the year was awarded to Aditi Chaudhary  class XII whereas the Best English Debater went to Manas Gulati, class X. Punctuality is respect for other’s time, so to inculcate the virtue of punctuality, the school encourages the students whose attendance is cent percent ! Aarav Jakhmola of class VIC and Sanchit Singh of class IXA were awarded for 100% attendance, in the session 2023-24.

For the all-round development of students, Sports, Drama, Art and other scholastic activities are very important. The students of Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy have been nurtured with a strong sense of purpose. The students who represented their houses and have persistently demonstrated outstanding performances in sports, bagged trophies for their houses. Vindhya House was awarded trophies for Volley ball and Cricket, and thus were victorious in getting the Overall Sports Trophy. Shivalik House added a feather in its cap by achieving the Scholastic Trophy. And the most exciting and awaited trophy - The Cock House Trophy for 2023-24 - was awarded to Satpura House.

The venue reverberated with thunderous applause, gleaming faces, exchanged appreciative nods as the audience witnessed their students, friends and wards receiving the medals and certificates on exceptional academic performances, co-scholastic activities and sports achievements.

The Prize Distribution was followed by the address of the Chief Guest, who congratulated all the achievers and said that success is not only measured by the awards and accolades that we receive, but also by the efforts that we put into reaching our goals. It is important that the journey is just as important as the destination.

The Deputy Head Boy and the Deputy Head Girl presented the Chief Guest with a momento. The Principal, Mrs. Bharti Vishnoi, congratulated the achievers for their remarkable performance and encouraged them to work hard and persevere the commitment to excellence.

To conclude the event, the Head Boy, Md. Rehan, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing special gratitude to Dr. Anuj Singh and everyone present and involved in making the event a successful one. The Annual Prize Day was an unforgettable experience and left a lasting impression on the minds of everyone present. It was indeed a day of Pride !
