The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony is a momentous occasion for Raja Rammohan Roy Academy as it acknowledges the dedication, hard work, and determination of our students in their pursuit of knowledge and excellence. The prestigious event took place on 5th August, 2023 in the school premises celebrating the incomparable achievers of the school. The event was presided by our esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Poonam Jaiswal, a visionary leader, and a trailblazer in the field of education. Mrs. Jaiswal is an educationist with over 30 years of teaching experience in renowned institutions across the country and has also been instrumental in the development of curriculum of middle school.

Mrs. Jaiswal was cordially welcomed by the Officiating Principal, Ms. Bharti Vishnoi on behalf of the entire RRRA family. It was followed by the highlight of the day which was the presentation of awards in various categories. Students were recognized for their exceptional academic performance, sports achievements and co-curricular activities. The ceremony commenced with the recognition of academic excellence. Students from classes I – IX and class XI who have excelled in their studies and have consistently demonstrated remarkable academic performance were presented with awards of distinction.

Shailja of class XII was awarded the Annual Scholarship of the school i.e. AC Deb Merit cum Means Scholarship along with the Shikha Memorial Scholarship for PCM (Girl). In the co-curricular activities category, Shambhavi Bisht of class XI was felicitated as the Best Hindi Speaker and the title of Best English Debater was awarded to Mili Chaudhary of class XII.

In the spirit of promoting sportsmanship and physical fitness, the ceremony also awarded the houses of the school which had persistently demonstrated outstanding performances in various sports. The Volleyball Trophy and Football Trophy for the session 2022-2023 were bagged by Shivalik House and the Cricket Trophy was awarded to Satpura House. In the overall category, Satpura House was awarded the Sports Trophy and it was also successful in bagging the Cock House Trophy for the session 2022-2023.

The prize distribution was followed by the Chief Guest’s address wherein she congratulated all the achievers. She spoke about the fast-changing technologies of today’s time like the Artificial Intelligence (AI), and exhorted all students to positively exploit them but not be over-dependent on them. She further motivated the students to inculcate good habits like reading and develop soft skills like music and dance for holistic development.

Following this, a memento was presented to Mrs. Jaiswal by the Officiating Principal. Ms Vishnoi also congratulated the achievers for their exemplary performance and encouraged them to continue working hard with dogged dedication.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Shailja, who expressed gratitude to Mrs. Jaiswal and everyone involved in organizing the event and making it a remarkable success.
