ACTIVITY REPORT SPELL BEE 2023-2024     (GRADE I-V)

ACTIVITY DATE:

1.FIRST ROUND on 02.08.2023 – DICTATION ROUND –All the students of classes I to V

participated in the Dictation Round. Dictation of Thirty Words was taken.

 2.SECOND ROUND on 04.08.2023– WORKSHEET ROUND- The top ten scorers of all the

sections of classes I to V participated in it. A worksheet consisting of Misspelled words,

Choose the correct spellings and Fill the missing letters was given to the students to solve.

3. THIRD ROUND ORAL DICTATION ROUND on 20.08.2023- The top scorers from each section who qualified the second round took part in it. Children were asked orally to spell the words.

Spelling, the art of correctly assembling letters to form meaningful words, is one of the essential components of successful writing. Being confident at spelling leads to confidence in all aspects of literacy. Keeping the same in mind, an inter-class Spell Bee activity was organized for the students of classes I to V . It aimed at giving students a platform to learn different spellings with their pronunciations and consequently, enrich their vocabulary. To conduct this activity, a word bank was created from the prescribed books of English, Science and Social Studies

The objective of the competition was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children. Students participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative were appreciated by one and all.
