EDUCATIONAL TOUR - PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK (CLASS VA,VB & VC)

The students of Class V were given an opportunity to visit the Punjab National Bank (PNB) branch on Turner Road as part of an educational tour organized by the school. The tour took place on 15th January 2025 for Classes VA and VB, and on 16th January 2025 for Class VC. Approximately 110 students participated in this enlightening experience, gaining practical knowledge about banking functions.

The primary objective of the educational tour was to provide students with an understanding of banking operations and to enhance their awareness of financial services. The tour aimed to familiarize students with the importance of banks in the economy, as well as the various services they offer, giving them hands-on exposure to banking procedures.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the Branch Manager and staff. The visit began with a brief introduction to the bank’s history, mission, and key achievements. The bank representatives explained various banking products and services, including cash management, security measures, technological integration, financial planning, budgeting, and saving for the future.

The students actively participated during the tour, asking insightful questions about the banking industry. Many displayed a keen interest in topics such as online banking, digital payment systems, and the role of interest rates in savings.

As a token of appreciation, the students presented handmade thank-you cards to every employee of the bank who assisted them during the tour.

The visit to Punjab National Bank proved to be an enriching and informative experience for the students. By exposing them to the practical aspects of banking, the tour significantly enhanced their financial literacy and prepared them for future financial responsibilities.
