24^th August – Inter House Chess Tournament – Primary Wing

The Inter-House Chess Tournament for the Primary Wing took place at the Multipurpose Hall, marking a significant event in the school's co-curricular calendar. Students from Classes IV and V, representing the four Houses - Aravali, Satpura, Vindhya and Shivalik - competed in a series of intense knock-out matches.

Chess, known for its ability to sharpen the mind, proved to be an exceptional educational tool, encouraging students to think ahead, strategise, and improve their cognitive skills. Research shows that chess, not only enhances mathematical and problem-solving abilities, but also, positively impacts reading and writing.

  The tournament saw a high level of participation, with students fiercely contesting the preliminary rounds. As they advanced, they earned valuable points for their Houses, contributing to the overall House standings. The competition was a testament to the students' dedication, strategic thinking and sportsmanship.
