HARELA FESTIVAL CELEBRATION 2024-25 (PRE-PRIMARY & PRIMARY)

Date 15 Jul 2024

HARELA FESTIVAL CELEBRATION

The word "Harela" originates from the Kumaoni term "Hariyala," signifying greenery. This festival is celebrated to welcome the monsoon season and pray for a bountiful harvest. On July 15, 2024, the Primary school celebrated the Harela festival with great enthusiasm.

Pre-Primary students planted saplings and took them home, while the primary school children planted saplings on the school campus.

Our goal is to nurture environmentally conscious citizens who advocate for ecological conservation and take pride in their cultural heritage.

It was inspiring to witness our talented students express their creativity and passion. The celebrations focused on various themes related to environmental protection and the preservation of local culture. Each class showcased boards according to their designated Harela theme:

Classes I & II: Craft Work

Class III: Poster Making

Class IV: Slogan Writing

Class V: Write-ups/Poetry

Students were encouraged not only to plant trees but also to conserve the trees in their surroundings. Let us embrace the spirit of 'Harela Mahotsava' and continue to cherish and preserve our cultural heritage with pride.
