Dhyan Chand, a legendary figure in Indian hockey, showcased unparalleled skill and sportsmanship that led the Indian hockey team to three consecutive Olympic gold medals in 1928, 1932 and 1936. His contribution to the sport remains unparalleled, making him an icon in Indian sports history.

National Sports Day in India, celebrated on 29th August, commemorates Major Dhyan Chand's birthday, honouring his legacy and promoting the importance of sports in society. This day serves as a reminder of the values of discipline, teamwork and dedication, that he embodied throughout his career.

At RRRA, the celebration of National Sports Day began with a thoughtful assembly by the students of class XI, highlighting the significance of this day. The sports department then organized a rally, bringing together students from the junior and senior wings to promote sportsmanship and unity through engaging activities and motivational slogans.

In addition to this, an Inter House Chess competition was organised at the Recreational Hall. This event was meticulously planned to foster strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and healthy competition among the students. Each house was represented by its most skilled chess players, who showcased their tactical sportsmanship throughout the exhilarating games. Vindhya house bagged the first position for the same. Furthermore, an Inter House Volleyball tournament and Football tournament were organized at RRRA, in which Satpura House and Shivalik House bagged the first positions.

At the end of the day, a prize distribution ceremony was meticulously organized. This ceremony was a momentous occasion where students were recognised for their hard work and perseverance. As each recipient stepped forward to accept their well-deserved accolades, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and admiration.
