GRANDPARENTS DAY CELEBRATION

Grandparents Day is a heart warming celebration to honour and recognize the vital role grandparents play in the lives of their grandchildren. This special occasion serves as a tribute to their wisdom, unconditional love, and valuable guidance. On October 5, 2024, Raja Rammohan Roy Academy celebrated Grandparents Day in the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH), with the aim of fostering meaningful intergenerational connections.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Primary Wing Headmistress, Mrs. Tripti Chopra, who emphasized the irreplaceable role grandparents hold in shaping our lives. A series of delightful performances followed, beginning with the tiny tots who charmed the audience with a graceful welcome dance, choir, medley, and action songs.

The students of Class III energized the stage with a vibrant Western dance performance. This was followed by Class IV students who presented a thought-provoking Street play in celebration of Hindi Diwas, highlighting the significance of the Hindi language. The final performance was delivered by the students of Class V, who conducted an engaging talk show to emphasize the importance of yoga and breathing exercises for a healthy life.

In a special gesture, two teachers from the senior wing, Ms. Geeta Chaudhary and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, were invited as guests to witness the program, further enhancing the collaborative spirit of the event.

Grandparents were then engaged in fun-filled activities, where a selected group of participants enjoyed games and shared laughter. As a token of love and appreciation, these grandparents were presented with small gifts for their participation.

Grandparents Day beautifully fulfilled its purpose, celebrating and honouring the pivotal role of grandparents within the family, while strengthening the bond between generations.
