Date 23 Apr 2022

“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader” – Margaret Fuller

The importance of books in our life cannot be undermined for they not only help in broadening our horizons but also act as doorways connecting us with the world around. Books play a quintessential role in every student’s life by introducing them to a world of imagination, providing knowledge of the outside world, improving their reading, writing and speaking skills as well as boosting memory and intelligence.

To cultivate these skills in students, Raja Rammohan Roy Academy organised a two day book fair ‘Reading India 2022’ on 22nd and 23rd April, 2022 in the school premises. The book fair was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Development and BBC Group. The event was inaugurated by Ms Madhu Negi, Principal RRRA and Ms Bharti Vishnoi, Vice Principal RRRA.

The book fair showcased books of Fiction, Children Fantasy, Encyclopaedias, Classical Literature and many more. The event turned out to be a roaring success and saw a huge footfall of students and teachers alike. The excitement amongst children as they skimmed and flipped through pages was palpable and infectious at the same time. In an age dominated by the internet and computers, such a sight was a welcome oasis in a barren desert.
