Raja Rammohan Roy Academy bids adieu to class XII Batch 2022-2023

On 23rd December 2022, Raja Rammohan Roy Academy organized a farewell ceremony for the students of outgoing class XII batch of 2022-23. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years lived together with friends and teachers and to reminisce the joyous moments they spent in their beloved school. The young and spirited students of class XI worked in unison to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors and left no stone unturned in giving the best to their deserving seniors.

The students of class XI extended a warm welcome to their seniors, who looked no less than a dream in their beautiful attires which they carried with utmost ease and grace. The ceremony commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony which was followed by a welcome address by the Deputy Head Girl, Sameeksha Dhakal who welcomed the seniors and conveyed her heartfelt appreciation for the valuable guidance they bestowed upon them in their formative years.

The gala event kicked off with scintillating classical and contemporary dance performances, soul-stirring musical renditions, hilarious skit and foot tapping music which entertained the audience and left them in splits. All the outgoing students were then presented with mementos as a token of love and remembrance which was followed by the highlight of the day - ‘Mr and Ms ISC 2022-23 contest’. The much-anticipated contest was a two-round event in which the class XII students graced the stage with their incomparable presence and displayed unparalleled confidence and enthusiasm. Everyone in the audience waited for the results with bated breath and congratulated Bhavyakant Sundriyal and Ipshita Pokhriyal who were crowned as Mr ISC and Ms ISC 2022-23 respectively. Arkin Dixit was announced ‘ Star of the evening’ and Riddhi Garg was crowned  ‘Sparkle of the evening’. The students and teachers then came together for the cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate success, milestones and new beginnings.

In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere, the Head Boy, Bhavyakant re-lived his bittersweet memories at the school and expressed his  heartfelt gratitude to this prodigious institution and the mentors for being instrumental in shaping their personalities and providing them with stellar opportunities. He also congratulated his juniors for the successful programme and thanked them for providing the much-needed support they, as seniors, required as office bearers.

Ms Bharti Vishnoi, the Officiating Principal, then addressed the audience and wished the outgoing batch the best for their future. She expressed her affection for them and conveyed that they’ll have a special place in everyone’s hearts. Following this, a vote of thanks was proposed by Sameeksha Dhakal, who thanked everyone in the audience for their valuable time and efforts. Kashish Yadav then  recited amoving poem which left everyone in the audience teary-eyed. The ceremony concluded with an emotional farewell message by the class XI students, who articulated their sorrow at seeing their seniors leave and hoped that their paths would cross again in the near future. Quoting the words spoken by Mahatma Gandhi, they said, “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart”. Au revoir.
